Applications for 2015 are now CLOSED.

The joint Bursary Programme is an initiative from the SA Army Foundation and Maxi Credit Solutions to provide comprehensive financial aid to the children of our contributing members who are not otherwise able to afford to provide their children with a tertiary education.

Following a rigorous application selection process, Nthabiseng Ntsabane and Melandri De Jager were chosen as recipients of the Adopt-A-Student Bursary. At the time of award – Melandri was in her final year of her Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Varsity College Durban North, and Nthabiseng in her first year of her Bachelor of Arts Psychology Degree at the University of Free State. Both Students showed great potential with numerous distinctions to back up their applications – proving that hard work indeed does pay off.

In 2015, both students graduated with flying colours, making the SA Army Foundation, Maxi Credit Solutions and their parents extremely proud of their achievements.

At a special function held at the SA Army Foundation Head Office in Clubview – the students and their families were welcomed as honorary guests. Chairman of the BOC, Maj Gen LC Nobanda gave a speech of congratulations, highlighting the path that the students have set for future applicants to the bursary programme. He and Mr AE Ramphele, General Manager of the SA Army Foundation, both agreed that more applications need to stream in for the SA Army Foundation to be able to assist more students in obtaining their Tertiary Qualifications as they implored members to encourage their children to send their applications in.

Asked what they would advise other children whose parents are members of SA Army Foundation – Melandri and Nthabiseng both agreed that the application process, the interviews and the hard work are really all worth-while. Both students are pleased to have completed their studies and are looking forward to the future.

The Chairman of the SA Army Foundation Board of Control, Maj Gen LC Nobanda, Member of the Board, the General Manager of SA Army Foundation Mr AE Ramphele, all management at SA Army Foundation and Maxi Credit Solutions are proud to have been able to assist these students in completing their Higher Education, giving them peace of mind throughout their journey.
