About Us How it all began

Established in 1956, the SA Army Foundation is the preferred supplier of authorised products, services and benefits to employees of the Army and their legal dependents that the state does not provide through the normal conditions of service.We are a Non-State Funded and Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) who is mandated by the Minister of Defence to provide our members with a variety of the best possible and better than market-related products, services and benefits.We focus our energy on those products and services that will be beneficial to as many members as possible, including necessities like life insurance, as well as products which are aimed at improving quality of life in terms of housing and education. We also provide luxury lifestyle products, including leisure and cellphone benefits.

Who are our members?

We deliver products, services and benefits to over 40 000 members who are either currently or historically a member of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) and/or the Department of Defence (DoD).While our main focus is servicing members of the South African Army; members of the SA Air Force, the SA Navy and the SA Military Health Service are also encouraged to join the SA Army Foundation to share in the Membership benefits.We do not distribute surplus funds to owners or shareholders, but instead we use them to help pursue our goals to the benefit of our Members, including Sponsorships and Corporate Social Investments.

Serving our members

As a company which has successfully served its members for over 60 years, the SA Army Foundation is a trusted organisation which is known for its reliability, accountability and quick response. Our headquarters are based in Centurion, Gauteng with 33 satellite offices nationwide, based within Army Units for the convenience of our members.
